When I was learning Spanish, I chose the name Catalina simply because it sounded beautiful. Later, I discovered that Catalina is not only the name of the first macOS system, but also an island off the coast of California.
This dual symbolism deeply resonated with me — like the ocean, it represents freedom and vastness; like an island, it symbolizes exploration and reflection; like technology, it blends logic and innovation; and like an operating system, it connects creativity and structure.
So, when I began building this website, I decided to name it Data Voyage.
The logo combines the imagery of a ship’s wheel and a terminal prompt (>_), symbolizing code as the helm that steers this journey — a voyage of data, curiosity, and creation.
